What is the mAh rating/ Wh rating? Is it safe for airlines?

As this is only a wall charger, this rating would not apply to the HyperJuice GaN charger. Because there is no battery, it would be safe on a plane.

The HyperJuice GaN charger comes with two USB-C ports only? Why not three, or even four?

USB-C is definitely the future for all devices. However, many products today still come with a USB-A charger, and many people still have legacy USB-A cords. To ensure they have enough ports, we went with this design. Other designs may be considered in the future.

This can charge two 15" MacBook Pro laptops? How does that work? What happens when I plug in other devices?

Typically, a 15” MacBook Pro with a fully charged battery only requires about 45~60W for normal operation. Our HyperJuice charger can fast-charge one 15” MacBook Pro with drained battery at 100W, or maintain the power of two 15” MacBook Pro with fully charged battery under normal operation with 50W each, or maintain the power or slow the battery drain of two 15” MacBook Pro with fully charged battery under low operation and charge two iPhone at 18W. The max total power output of the HyperJuice charger is 100W. Our intelligent power system will spread the power around so that each device/port gets the maximum power they, but in total cannot exceed 100W.

Does the HyperJuice GaN charger support PPS charging of Samsung Note 10?

While HyperJuice will quick charge the Samsung Note 10 using USB-C Power Delivery. It does not support PPS (Programmable Power Supply) charging as PPS is known to cause compatibility issues with other USB-C PD devices that do not support PPS. PPS will also interfere with our intelligent power distribution. If you really need a PPS charger for your Samsung Note 10, we recommend that you get a dedicated Samsung charger for that purpose.

Does HyperJuice support Huawei Super Charge Technology?

While HyperJuice will quick charge Huawei devices using USB-C Power Delivery. It does not support the proprietary Huawei Super Charge Technology which only Huawei chargers can support. Super Charge is also not defined within the USB-C PD standards so a charger that supports Super Charge may have compatibility issues with other USB-C PD devices. If you really need Super Charge for your Huawei devices, we recommend that you get a dedicated Huawei charger for that purpose.

Will a 100W charger damage a lower power device which requires less than 100W?

HyperJuice uses the latest USB-C PD 3.0 protocol which negotiates power delivery with the connected device. HyperJuice will never deliver more power than the device can handle. If a device only requires 18W, HyperJuice 100W Charger will only delivery 18W to that device.

Does HyperJuice have grounding?

All 2-pin systems do not have grounding. You need 3 pins for grounding, so HyperJuice, together with all power products (like those from Apple, Anker, Wacom etc.) that use the foldable 2-pin design or 2-pin cable will not have grounding. Chargers around 100W power today have very sophisticated protection systems that negate the need for grounding.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
